The excellent balance between the resolution of the focal plane and the smooth gradation of the bokeh that gives a sense of depth to the foreground and background allows for dramatic, three-dimensional expression.
◆Even at the maximum aperture of F1.2, where focusing is difficult, the multi-focus AF drive system using STM (stepping motor) achieves high-speed, high-precision AF. When taking portraits, it is easy to focus on the eyes by using the Z body's eye AF. Even with a shallow depth of field, you can get a clear image.
◆Not only can you enjoy the same resolution as still images, but we also pursue ease of use in video shooting. AF reduces stuttering during focusing, achieving even quieter operation. It also supports suppression of "focus breathing," which changes the angle of view as the focus position moves during focusing, so you can concentrate on shooting without worrying about changes in the angle of view when focusing. In addition, flicker-resistant aperture control creates images with natural changes in brightness.
