The origins of the Mario RPG series are back on Nintendo Switch for the first time in 27 years with completely revamped graphics.

◆Story
Mario heads to Bowser's castle to rescue the kidnapped Peach.
Now that we've defeated Bowser, we can finally relax!
Just then, a giant sword suddenly falls from the sky.
The sword pierces Bowser's castle, and Mario is blown away by the impact, so he decides to go look for Peach once again.
Along the way, Mario learns that the Star Road, which grants people's wishes, was destroyed by the sword that was thrust into Bowser's castle, and that its fragments, called Star Pieces, have been scattered across the world.
Together with the supportive companions you meet along the way, you begin an adventure to collect Star Pieces and restore a peaceful world where wishes come true.

◆ Use jumps to explore the field
Using Mario's signature "jump" action, you'll explore various fields and dungeons while solving puzzles.

◆ Companions who adventure with Mario
"Maro", a fluffy frog-like creature, "Geno", a celestial messenger who has come to Mario World to retrieve the Star Pieces, and Bowser and Peach, familiar characters from the Mario series, will join you on your adventure.

◆ Battles using action commands
"Action Command Battle" involves timing your attacks and defenses accordingly.
When fighting monsters, by selecting an action command, you can attack all monsters or reduce the damage you receive to 0.
Starting with this title, if you successfully execute action commands in succession, a "chain" will be created, increasing the abilities of your allies and giving you an advantage in battle.
While you're getting used to it, there's also support provided by the "!" mark appearing at just the right time.
Additionally, a gauge will fill up each time an action command is successful.
When this gauge reaches 100%, the three people in battle can combine their powers and unleash a special "three-person technique."

◆ Additional Features
After the ending, you'll be able to rematch some of the bosses you encountered during your adventure.
The bosses you face off against have all been powered up to the point that they are no easy feat.
Other features added include a "Monster List" that records various information about monsters you fight, and a "Sound Player" that lets you listen to background music from both the Super Famicom and Nintendo Switch versions at any time. (The Sound Player becomes available after the ending.)
The game now has an "Enjoy" difficulty level that makes battles easier, as well as adventure support features, so even those who are unfamiliar with battles or RPGs can enjoy the game.
